Always wondering what should you eat for breakfast? What is the healthy choice for breakfast? Remember health is wealth, we must treat our bodies with amazing food for fuel. Breakfast should be enjoyable!
Protein is always a good choice for breakfast as it gives your body a boost of power for the day.
Start your day off with cottage cheese as it is full of protein, it contains B Vitamins, Vitamin A and Protein, add some fresh or frozen berries and give it a boost of Vitamin C and antioxidants.
Eggs can be a good choice but have one not three. Eggs are full of protein, and the yolk has choline which for some can cause inflammation. I prefer to eat two egg white and one yolk.
Tea is a great choice especially green to get your metabolism a boost. It contains a wide variety of antioxidants and health benefits. It helps keep your body hydrated and helps with weight loss. I enjoy a few cups per day with added lemon for an extra boost of vitamin c..
Coffee is also a great choice however adding cream and sugar does remove a lot of the health benefits. Black is always the way to go. Black coffee has been known to have excellent antioxidants and helps prevent diabetes.
Bananas are always a great choice, however should be green versus ripe. Bananas are full of potassium and help the body support good digestion
Yogurt is always a good choice, there are many different varieties to choose from, always go with plain yogurt and add berries, chia seeds or nuts for an extra boost, for those that love sweetness you can drizzle with a little raw honey or maple syrup.

Having trouble with time in the morning and in a hurry. Why not make a shake to go. My favourite is to add water or juice, spinach, blueberries, pumpkin seeds, almonds, walnuts, dates for sweetness, banana, blend and go. YUMMY and very filling and nutritious! I add a bit of collagen powder, turmeric, ginger and cinnamon for an extra inflammatory boost. Shakes are so easy and a great way to start your day.
Almond butter on some celery is also a great protein start to your day.
Remember to treat your body with respect. What you eat, is how you feel. If you feel sluggish and just not yourself, take a look at your diet, and make a change. Try drinking more water too, so many of us, especially as we age forget to drink water.
